About us

About us

We are weyer data engineering gmbh from Düren, Germany, part of the weyer gruppe. We develop AITEZA, an AI platform for working with company documents. It grew out of a practical problem: at the weyer gruppe, knowledge sits in thousands of documents, spread across projects, customers and years.

Our story

  1. Why we built AITEZA

At the weyer gruppe, engineers work every day with permit documents, expert reports, plans and standards. The answer to a question almost always existed somewhere, but finding it took time. General AI assistants did not help: they did not know which project to search, and they could not show where their statements came from. We wanted a tool where we decide where the AI searches, and where every answer has a source. Since nothing like that existed, we built it.

  2. Today

AITEZA is used by more than 500 people, as SaaS from data centres in Frankfurt am Main or on our customers' own infrastructure. Development still happens in Düren, close to the teams who use it every day.

Our journey

  1. 2023

    The first idea

The management of the weyer gruppe comes up with the idea of making the knowledge in projects and documents usable with AI.

  2. Mid 2024

    First prototype

A first prototype answers questions about real project documents, with sources.

  3. October 2024

weyer data engineering gmbh is founded

To develop AITEZA, we found a dedicated company in Düren within the weyer gruppe.

  4. January 2025

    Launch at the weyer gruppe

AITEZA goes into daily use at the weyer gruppe.

  5. September 2025

Sources open at the right place

Citations open the document directly at the quoted passage, and search in datarooms becomes much more precise.

  6. January 2026

    One chat for everything

Several datarooms can be connected in one chat and switched at any time. Web search is added.

  7. February 2026

    Agentic search

AITEZA searches datarooms in several steps on its own, reads whole sections and does the maths.

  8. April 2026

    Images and drawings

Plans, drawings and photos are analysed visually and become searchable in the dataroom.

  9. June 2026

    Workflows and Office files

Create Word, Excel and PowerPoint files directly in the chat, check documents against fixed criteria, version history for every file.

  10. September 2026

    Prompt library

Save, organise and share prompts with colleagues.

  11. October 2026

    Automatic model selection and integrations

AITEZA picks a suitable model for every message, connects to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Jira and other systems, and shows AI costs in euros.

  12. October 2026

    Relay

Datarooms can be shared with customers and partners who do not need an account. Guests ask questions and see what has changed since their last visit.

What we stand for

  • Cost transparency

When we started with AI at the weyer gruppe, we did not know what costs to expect. Licences, tokens, servers, setup: much of it was unclear or hidden. That is why AITEZA shows AI costs in euros at any time, per person, group and model, and why our prices are published on our website.

  • Sources, not claims

Every statement in an answer is linked to the passage in the original document. Anyone who passes an answer on does not have to trust it blindly but can check it with one click.

  • Data stays in Europe

Hosting in Frankfurt am Main, AI models in EU regions, and on request entirely on your own infrastructure. Documents and questions are not used to train AI models.

  • Close to practice

We use AITEZA ourselves every day. New features come from real projects.
